Last year we had the Big Board on the fourth floor: it caused massive congestion and was one of the most complained-about parts of the whole event.
I loved it - a great day with friends, talking about why games are great. I can only think of one *minor* gripe, which was that the only board with updates on talks was on the 1st floor, which meant I had to trek downstairs each time.

Thanks for organising everything!

We are a volunteer committee. Everybody puts in a lot of time and nobody makes a penny from GameCamp. If you think you can organise a similar event and cover your costs by charging £5 a ticket then the *camp format is open for anyone to use, and we would be overjoyed to watch you try.

I hope you don't think I'm being malcontent for the sake of being a malcontent, but I do believe you've priced yourself too highly. For £16 (ticket + booking fee), I could buy, for example, a ticket to spend the entire day at the London MCM Expo. With the added bonus of apparently getting to meet the chap who played C3PO. Oh my!

Regardless of how much I might want to attend Game Camp, such a large fee represents an off-putting expense. Of course I agree that people have to eat, bellies have to be filled, and participants have to be kept happy, but I suspect this could probably be done on a smaller budget. Fancy foccacia and a coffee van sound wonderful, but they also sound to me like unnecessary luxuries. I'd be perfectly happy with an alternative 'bring your own' lunch, and a broken Nespresso machine that comically scalds all those who try to use it.

Perhaps in the future you might consider offering two tickets, one to include catering and the other as a 'just the conference' experience. I see 38 unsold tickets for your event as 38 people who would like to be there tomorrow, but perhaps are young penniless students, unemployed arts graduates, or merely decided to study computer game design.
